Children at Risk honors local Child Advocates

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation is pleased to congratulate Children at Risk’s Healthcare Hero Awardee, Dr. Jacob Hydemann and Outstanding Child Advocate Nominees, Dr. Sylvia Acosta and Dr. Kristina D. Mena.

These individuals will be recognized at the Children at Risk “A Night at the Texas Academy Awards of Child Advocacy” on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 7 pm on Facebook live broadcast (facebook.com/childrenatrisk).

Dr. Hydemann is in private practice and among six other healthcare heroes in the state of Texas recognized for their dedication to improving the lives of children. Dr. Acosta with YWCA El Paso Del Norte Region and Dr. Mena with UT School of Public Health El Paso represent El Paso and west Texas as Outstanding Children Advocate nominees. They are among 30 nominees in the state that work diligently to keep Texas families safe and healthy.

Children at Risk is a nonprofit organization that serves as a catalyst to improve the quality of life for children through strategic research, public policy analysis, education, collaboration and advocacy.

This event is supported by the Paso del Norte Health Foundation as part of its leadership efforts to improve the health and quality of life in the Paso del Norte region.
