El Paso Giving Day is less than 24 hours away!

November 13, 2018

Now in its third year, El Paso Giving Day has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Paso del Norte Foundation’s Community of Philanthropy.

But this year, we want to do even more. This year’s goal is to raise $300,000 for the more than 200 trusted local nonprofit organizations in our region.

“We’ve waited 365 days for this year’s El Paso Giving Day and we can’t be more excited that it’s back,” said Anna Alemán, Development Director for the Paso del Norte Foundation. “The importance of the nonprofit sector in our region has never been greater and through your donations, you help participating organizations continue the tremendous work they are doing in this community.”

The best thing about Giving Day is that all donations can be made online and you get to pick from a wide range of worthy causes that help better the Paso del Norte region, including health, education, social services, economic development and quality of life.

That’s why the Paso del Norte Foundation is so committed to El Paso Giving Day. It’s one day a year where the entire community can come together to personally help make our terrific region even better. Even the minimum donation of $10 can go a long way in helping a local nonprofit achieve its goals.

“We’ve designed Giving Day to meet the new and increasingly mobile world we live in,” Anna Alemán said. “That’s why we’ve made it so easy to give online and to keep up with all the competition between the nonprofits during Power Hours, with Facebook Live and the various social media we are using to get the word out.” You can log on now to www.elpasogivingday.org, browse the list of nonprofits and start giving. It’s that easy and even the minimum $10 donation can go a long way to help a local nonprofit achieve its goals. Your donation goes even further by helping nonprofits compete for bonus prizes throughout El Paso Giving Day. Thanks to the generous contributions from the Meadows Foundation, nonprofits will be competing for up to $16,000 in bonuses. The efforts will be pumped up during several “Power Hours” throughout the day, which could earn us $1,000 bonus for raising the most money. There will also be bonuses awarded to the organization with the most donations on Giving Day and for having the highest amount of unique donors.

Follow along on Facebook and Instagram to stay up-to-date with these special opportunities to give and help us land on top.

“With everyone’s help we can make El Paso Giving Day bigger and better than ever,” said Alemán.
