According to County data and recent PdNHF focus groups, men ages 18-50 years old in El Paso are among the least vaccinated and least inclined to get vaccinated in the region. Ms. Day brings more than 10 years of experience in the public health sector working for nonprofit, as well as the federal government sector. As an associate program officer, she will respond to trends and activities in the community. Desert Critters Trail developed in Alamogordo

The City of Alamogordo in partnership with the Otero Health Council Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) team recently invited the community to explore the new Desert Critters Trail located on Washington Park Stage in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
The Desert Critters Trail was developed to get people walking, learn about local nature and involve the community to enjoy spending time together outdoors. The trail highlights 19 indigenous species of animals on stone monuments hidden throughout the trail and park for people to locate as part of a scavenger hunt.

The Rio Grande Cancer Foundation (RGCF) has launched a new website designed specifically for recently diagnosed cancer patients and their caregivers. Cooking Classes Empowers Tornillo Students and their Families

Cooking classes at Tornillo ISD were recently provided to students and their families to learn to make affordable, nutritious, and delicious meals. Common Threads, a national nonprofit organization, offered the classes over the summer with a focus on teaching families how to cook together and incorporate healthy habits at home all while exploring different cultures.
