Paso del Norte Trail receives support from City, County, CRRMA

May 14, 2019

The desire to create healthy and safe recreational areas and routes for the residents in the city and county of El Paso was affirmed this past month with the adoption of a resolution in support of the new, proposed 60-mile county-wide Paso del Norte Trail by four governing bodies.

The El Paso County Commissioners, El Paso City Council and board of the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority unanimously approved a resolution in support of the new recreational hike and bike trail known as the Paso del Norte Trail.

The trail master plan was developed by the Paso del Norte Health Foundation with input from hundreds of residents and dozens of committed and engaged community organizations and stakeholders to become a regional attraction that connects communities, celebrates El Paso’s history and culture, highlights the Rio Grande, promotes health and active living, and catalyzes economic development.
