REALIZE Board Brown Bag Series

The success of nonprofit leaders is vital to any organization and community. The Paso del Norte Health Foundation in partnership with United Way of El Paso are working together to change good leaders into “transformational leaders” by developing the REALIZE Board program.

Building communities for good health

For the Paso del Norte Health Foundation, 2017 was a year of building layers of wellness in areas of physical activity and increasing the medical workforce for the region. Our team and partners found the need for valuable resources in the areas related to safe alternatives for recreation and physical activity; increase the number of doctors, dentist, registered dietitians and pharmacist to the region and empower change to decrease the negative bias associated with mental illness and increase mental health services.

Paso del Norte Trail Public Meeting
June 27, 2018
Please join us to provide input on the Paso del Norte Trail. The meeting will involve a discussion related to the proposed alignment and typologies for the 60-mile county-wide trail.
The Paso del Norte Trail will stretch a proposed 60-miles across El Paso County, connecting neighborhoods, providing El Pasoans with a great recreation option, and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.

Playa Drain Trail Construction Update

Certain parts of the Playa Drain trail are starting to take shape. Construction crew continue to connect sections of the trail along Hidden Valley to Riverside High School.
This 3.4-mile segment of the Playa Drain Trail project is a partnership of the Paso del Norte Health Foundation (Health Foundation), City of El Paso and El Paso Water. The Health Foundation is contributing $2.5 million for the design and construction of the trail from Ascarate Park to Riverside High School.
