Health Foundation looking for Artist or Artist Teams for Playa Drain Trail Project

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation in partnership with the City of El Paso Parks and Recreations Department and El Paso Water seeks an artist or artist team to work with students in select schools in the Ysleta Independent School District to create original mosaic designs/artwork and assist with fabrication oversight and installation in areas along the Playa Drain Trail.

Students in YISD schools are leading moderate to very active lifestyles each day

In the Ysleta Independent School District (YISD), 68 percent of the student body is leading a moderate to very active lifestyle each day. If that sounds impressive, it is – particularly considering that a year ago the figure was 32 percent.

Credit a program called Coordinated Approach To Child Health, or CATCH, for the remarkable improvement. The Paso del Norte Health Foundation (Health Foundation) provided funding to YISD in 2016 to begin implementing CATCH as a comprehensive approach to health.

PHIX Shaping the Way for Collecting and Storing Medical Information

The Health Information Exchange is now PHIX. Emily Hartmann is the executive director. And the number of partners and volume of patient records being collected and stored for exchange among medical providers is growing by the day.
